How do I keep my awning clean?

Mix a solution of mild detergent and water in a bucket, take a soft brush and gently scrub your awning to your desired cleanliness. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water. 

Does color affect how hot it is under my awning?

Yes, the darker the color of your awning, the more heat that will radiate under the awning. For more of a cooler effect, it is recommended that lighter colors are chosen.

What is the framing made of?

Most quality awnings are made out of extruded aluminum tubing that is welded together. When selecting your framing, powder coating is available to fully customize your project.

How long does an awning last?

If done correctly through professionals, most quality awnings will last from 8-12 years depending on conditions. Locations with high wind, constant direct sun, or close to an ocean are all factors that can effect your awning. 

Are awnings waterproof?

Yes, although your awning may get a small amount of water wicking through an intense rain storm. 

How much wind can my awning withstand?

A "fixed"stationary awning can withstand winds up to 75 mph. A retractable awning should be rolled up if winds get up past 25 mph. 

What colors are available?

There are hundred of different colors and patterns to choose from.

How long does it take to get an awning?

It depends on the time of year. It should take 3-4 weeks to get your awning ordered and installed. In the summer months, it could possibly take up to two weeks longer.
